New President.... New Hope....But What Is Our Most Important Role In This New Government?

Yesterday was President Noynoy Aquino's inauguration day. Inauguration is a formal ceremony to mark the beginning of a leader's term of office.

Everybody was excited witnessing that special day. Many people went to Quirino Grandstand to witness that special day personally. For others, including myself, we just watched the event on tv, others listened to the radio and some went online. But i believe wherever you were yesterday, you were touched by that very special event  especially by our President's speech. That was a strong speech yet very promising and great. It gave new hope to the Filipinos and once again, i could say that "I'm proud to be a Filipino."

The content of our President's speech also includes words that encouraged us to cooperate  in making this country more progressive.

Yes, we have roles to make our country more progressive and our most important role is to pray for our new President and our  other government leaders.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 say: " I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior.."

The Bible urged us to pray for kings and all those in authority. In our case, since we dont have a "king" but only president, God still wants us to do our duty-and that is to pray for our President and all in authority.

Beginning today, make it a habit to pray for our new President and all the leaders of our nation. And also pray for our nation.

Jeremiah 29:7 says: "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas and mabuhay tayong lahat!
