God has many blessings to those who are trusting in Him and to those who are doing good.
These days, we hear a lot of different news happening all over the world: wars, poverty, crimes, etc but as we trust the Lord and do good, God has promised us safety and prosperity.
Psalm 37:3 New Living Translation, it says there:
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
How do we trust God?
1) Trust the Lord with all your heart.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New Living Translation:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
With all your heart. Not half-hearted. Not a portion of our heart but with all our heart.
2) Do not depend on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New Living Translation:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
3) Seek His will in all you do.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New Living Translation:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
God is the priority.
Matthew 6:33 New Living Translation
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
4) Trust the Lord during your 'battle.'
1 Chronicles 5:20
They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him. So the Hagrites and all their allies were defeated.
What is your battle right now? Is it financially? Is it mentally? Emotionally? Socially? Spiritually? Physically? Whatever it is, cry out to God during your battle. You're not alone in the things you are going through right now. He is just a prayer away.
5) Put your trust in Him instead of putting your trust on your finances or wealth.
Job 31:24 NLT:
“Have I put my trust in money or felt secure because of my gold?
6) Know His name.
Psalm 9:10 New Living Translation
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
God has a lot of names. He is our Jehovah Rapha, the God our Healer. He is our Jehovah Jireh, the God who will provide, etc, etc.
As you know His name, your trust in Him will be stronger. Read His word more and get to know who He is and what He can do in your situation.
There are still a lot to mention on how to trust the Lord but for now, let me just mention those 6 points. As we trust the Lord and do good, surely He will do what He promised and two of them are safety and prosperity.
Deuteronomy 6:18, it says there:
Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so all will go well with you. Then you will enter and occupy the good land that the Lord swore to give your ancestors.
