Genesis 21:1-2 "Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him."

Thoughts
Did God promise something to you that is beyond your imagination, bigger than your abilities and dreams and it seems that it's hard to believe it would happen? Hold on to His promises. God doesn't lie. When he promised something, he fulfills it. Numbers 23:19 says, "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"
In the text above, we can see there that the Lord was gracious to Sarah and He did for her what He had promised. To Sarah, it was very impossible for her to have a son in her old age. She even laughed when the Lord told Abraham that they will have a son. But at the very time God had promised it would happen, He fulfilled it (verse 2).
Hebrews 10:23- "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."
Hold on to God's promises...He will fulfill them in your life.

Im a 25yr female gone through alot of ups an downs mostly downs.. I was n the fast life an living very evil ways..i took alot of pills to nub the pain.. took so many it became a habbit.. got addicted to the was taking up to 60 pain killers a day.. been clean since jan 20 2012,, still trying to stand strong , but God told me i stay off these pills he WILL deliver me an give me LIFE im so excited to get started an know theres only good to come.... keep your head up an seekin God an good is to soon come your way as will.... please keep me in your prayers.... ReplyDeleteWhat's amazing is that Sara didn't even hold onto the promise, and...she laughed at it! But God still came through with His Word and blessed them with a son. If God will do this for Sara and Abraham, surely He will come through for me and my promise will come to past. I am ever so grateful as I wait with expectancy.
